Belgien – Frugt, grøntsager og lignende produkter – Fruit/(snoep)groenten op school

For at children to be encouraged to eat healthier, schools can, through the Oog voor Lekkers campaign by the Flemish government, qualify for a subsidy to distribute a portion of fruit or vegetables as a snack on a fixed school day per week to their students. The 7 municipal schools in Hasselt are participating in this project and are expanding the healthy snacks to 2 portions per week through the subsidy for healthy food in schools, provided by the department of supplementary education policy of the city of Hasselt. This contract involves the delivery of fresh fruit and (snack) vegetables to the participating schools within the municipal boundaries of the city of Hasselt.
