The European Commission, Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) intends to establish a framework agreement for the provision of Expert Services in the field of European Language Technology (ELT) for the purpose of supporting the implementation of the European Language Grid (ELG) initiative. The framework agreement will cover a wide range of expert services, including but not limited to:

- Consultancy and advisory services on ELT

- Support for the development and implementation of ELT standards and best practices

- Support for the development and implementation of ELT tools and services

- Support for the organisation of events, workshops and training activities related to ELT

- Support for the dissemination and exploitation of ELT research and innovation results

**II.2.4) Description of the procurement**

The European Language Grid (ELG) is a European initiative to create a sustainable ecosystem for language technologies. The ELG aims to foster the development and uptake of language technologies in Europe by providing a platform for sharing and collaboration. The ELG initiative is funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.

The ELG initiative is based on the following key objectives:

- To create a sustainable ecosystem for language technologies in Europe

- To foster the development and uptake of language technologies

- To provide a platform for sharing and collaboration

- To support the dissemination and exploitation of ELT research and innovation results

The ELG initiative is implemented through a series of projects and activities, including the development of language technology tools and services, the organisation of events and workshops, and the dissemination of research and innovation results. The ELG initiative is supported by a consortium of partners, including research institutions, industry, and other stakeholders.

The European Commission, Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) is responsible for the overall coordination and management of the ELG initiative. The DG EAC is supported by a team of experts in the field of language technologies, who provide technical and operational support to the initiative.

The DG EAC intends to establish a framework agreement for the provision of Expert Services in the field of European Language Technology (ELT) to support the implementation of the ELG initiative. The framework agreement will cover a wide range of expert services, including but not limited to:

- Consultancy and advisory services on ELT

- Support for the development and implementation of ELT standards and best practices

- Support for the development and implementation of ELT tools and services

- Support for the organisation of events, workshops and training activities related to ELT

- Support for the dissemination and exploitation of ELT research and innovation results

The framework agreement will be established for a period of 36 months, with the possibility of extension for an additional 12 months. The total estimated value of the framework agreement is 1 000 000.00 EUR (excluding VAT).

The European Commission, Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) invites interested parties to submit their tenders for the provision of Expert Services in the field of European Language Technology (ELT) to support the implementation of the European Language Grid (ELG) initiative. Tenders must be submitted electronically via the above-mentioned address.
