DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung GmbH's Bremen facility is the competence center for the maintenance of large diesel engines and drive systems. As part of engine maintenance, numerous crankcases from various engine series are mechanically processed, measured and repaired each year. This includes, in particular, engines from the manufacturers MTU, Caterpillar and Cummins. The processing of the crankcases is currently carried out on several existing machines. To ensure long-term production capacities and to modernize processing, measuring and documentation processes, a new CNC machining center is to be procured. The system is to combine the processing and measurement of the relevant components in one machine and enable largely automated execution of the work and test processes. The subject of this tendering procedure is the planning, manufacture, delivery, installation, commissioning, training and final acceptance of a CNC machining center including all necessary hardware and software components as well as integration into the existing workshop and IT/OT infrastructure of the Bremen facility.
