A branch dialogue and a market survey have shown that there is currently no high-performance gigabit infrastructure with an offer of corresponding telecommunications services covering the entire area in accordance with the goals of the Gigabit Framework Regulation 2.0, and that there will not be such an infrastructure in the coming years. The municipality has therefore applied for support for a comprehensive gigabit expansion in the economic viability gap model in accordance with the guidelines "Support for the support of the gigabit expansion of telecommunications networks in the Federal Republic of Germany - Gigabit-Richtlinie des Bundes 2.0 (Gigabit-RL 2.0)" dated 31 March 2023 in the version amended on 30 April 2024 ("Gigabit-Richtlinie 2.0") and has received the decision on the final amount of the grant.
