Η DART+ είναι ένα μεταμορφωτικό πρόγραμμα έργων που σκοπεύει να βελτιώσει και να αναβαθμίσει τις υπάρχουσες σιδηροδρομικές υπηρεσίες στην Περιοχή του Μεγάλου Δουβλίνου (GDA). Το δίκτυο DART θα αυξηθεί από 50 χιλιόμετρα σε 150 χιλιόμετρα, μεταμορφώνοντας τα ταξίδια με τρένα προαστιακών γραμμών στην Περιοχή του Μεγάλου Δουβλίνου. Θα παρέχει ένα βιώσιμο, ηλεκτροδοτημένο, αξιόπιστο και συχνότερο σιδηροδρομικό δίκτυο, βελτιώνοντας την χωρητικότητα σε όλες τις σιδηροδρομικές διαδρομές που εξυπηρετούν το Δουβλίνου, φέρνοντας τα ταξίδια με DART με όλα τα οφέλη τους σε νέες και υπάρχουσες κοινότητες. Η παρουσίαση ενός νέου ηλεκτροδοτημένου στόλου θα βελτιώσει την χωρητικότητα και θα μειώσει τις εκπομπές αερίων θερμοκηπίου.
