The planned construction project involves the conversion of the former monastery's cloister wing (existing building) into a museum. At the same time, a new building (event venue with connectors) is being constructed next to it. The construction site is located in Kyritz in the monument protection area "Altstadt Kyritz" and the archaeological monument "Altstadt Kyritz". In the area of the connector, a new load-bearing wooden structure is to be manufactured and professionally installed. The structure serves to cover and connect the existing building and the new building. The load-bearing structure consists of a wooden frame construction with vertical wooden posts and deck and roof bearing elements resting on them. In areas with increased fire protection requirements, steel posts are to be provided instead of the wooden posts. The roof structure will be made as a ceiling beam/roof beam construction with roof beams designed to be flush with the ceiling. The roof structure is to be designed to support an extensive or intensive green roof structure, including the loads required for this. The necessary connections, bearings, stiffeners, and structural wood protection measures are part of the scope of work. The connections of the new wooden structure are made on the one hand to the historic existing facade and on the other hand to the facade of the new building. All connections must be made taking into account the different building movements, the requirements for heat, moisture and sound insulation, and with particular consideration for the historic building substance. Fastenings to the existing facade are to be limited to the necessary extent and carried out in a manner suitable for preservation. The scope of work includes all necessary timber construction work, including design, cutting, delivery, assembly, connections, connecting elements, stiffening elements, structural wood protection, auxiliary structures, transport and lifting work, as well as coordination with the adjacent trades and specialist planning. The basis for the execution are the released execution plans, the static calculation, as well as the specifications of the fire protection and monument protection concept.
