Public service contract in the field of rail passenger transport in accordance with Article 5(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1370/2007. Operation of a regional service of approximately 2.17 million train kilometres per year (approx. 12/2028 – 12/2043) on the following line: Munich Hbf – Landshut Hbf – Regensburg Hbf – Schwandorf – Weiden – Marktredwitz – Hof Hbf (RE 2). The transport services are to be provided from the 10.12.2028, the first day of operation after the major timetable change in 2028, after the night break. The transport performance contract to be concluded ends on the major timetable change in 2043, on 12.12.2043. The performance period is therefore 15 years from the start of operations. The transport performance contract to be concluded will be designed as a net contract with at least a two-year gross start-up phase. The transport performance contract contains detailed specifications for the quality of the services to be provided. A debt service guarantee for the financing of new vehicles is offered. The transport services will be awarded within the framework of a competitive tendering procedure in accordance with the provisions of Part 4 of the Act against Restraints of Competition (GWB) and the Regulation on the Award of Public Contracts (VgV).
