The purpose of the R2 Bátka - Figa construction works is to relieve the currently congested transport network, especially the I/16 road, which carries transit traffic with a negative impact on residents along this heavily congested road running through the villages. The construction of the R2 expressway will increase the fluidity, speed and safety of traffic and significantly improve transport-operational conditions for transit traffic. Project description: The R2 expressway is part of the international European route E58 in the west-east direction. The R2 expressway will connect the previously prepared section R2 Zacharovce - Bátka with the completed section R2 Figa - bypass. The beginning of the R2 Bátka - Figa section connects to the previous section R2 Zacharovce - Bátka, after the grade-separated junction "Bátka", solved in the previous section. The route here crosses the road III/2753 and continues to the existing junction of the road I/16 with the road III/2759, which it bridges including the Blh stream. In the next section, the route runs along the southern side of the I/16 road, in the K. ú. Kaloša it deviates from the I/16 road corridor and crosses the road III/2760 and the Teška stream. It then crosses the I/16 road again and ends by connecting to the R2 Figa - bypass construction. The detailed definition of the subject of the contract is in Tender Set 1 to Tender Set 5.
