In various processing stages, a feasibility study was developed in 2023 and further deepened until 2025. Additionally, condition analyses and structural assessments of the existing properties were carried out. Based on this, the Board of Directors of the WPZ Berghof decided to implement the in-depth feasibility study. The WPZ Berghof consists of building parts of different periods of construction and conditions. Individual parts as well as central functions have a great need for renewal. For a forward-looking operation, four care units with 25-27 beds each on one horizontal level are to be realised. Spacious and functional new single rooms with their own wet cells are to be created. The renewal of the WPZ Berghof is to be systematically developed by the planning team on the following concept and ensure the overall context between infrastructure/property, operation and financing. * Demolition of the existing "Mitteltrakt" and new construction of a six-storey central part * Comprehensive renovation of "Haus Märt" and addition of 1 storey (4th floor) in lightweight construction * Simple paint renovation of "Haus Burg" * The cafeteria and kitchen were renovated in 2020 and will not be touched.
