Poland – Environmental monitoring other than for construction – Monitoring gatunków zwierząt z uwzględnieniem specjalnych obszarów ochrony siedlisk Natura 2000 w latach 2026-2028 – kręgowce.

The order is a continuation of the Monitoring of Species and Habitats (MGSP; https://siedliska.gios.gov.pl/), carried out within the framework of the National Environmental Monitoring, in the scope of vertebrate animal species. The order includes:

• carrying out the monitoring of the conservation status of 23 animal species and preparing approximately 8711 monitoring reports at monitoring sites,

• preparing 23 monitoring reports on animal species,

• conducting a survey on the occurrence of the brown bear,

• conducting surveys on the occurrence of the wolf and the lynx,

• reviewing and updating the monitoring methodologies of selected species,

• preparing the Nature Monitoring Bulletin with the results of animal monitoring for the years 2025-2027,

• preparing recommendations for the following years of monitoring,

• maintaining the electronic GIOŚ survey for monitoring the distribution of species.

The order includes 8 tasks and will be carried out in 8 stages.
