The SWR is developing the Mainz site for future-proof media supply. The superstructure of the existing multi-storey car park directly along the street "Am Fort Gonsenheim" enables the necessary space expansion for multimedia tasks at the Mainz site in a compact and efficient manner, with short distances. The two new storeys span the existing garage and follow the curved street alignment with their facades. The new building will be accessed via the central staircase with a lift on the courtyard side. A glass bridge on the 1st floor connects to the "Haus am Wall" (building part 4), thus creating a direct access from the existing structure. The extension can be entered on the 1st and 2nd floors via a generous entrance area, which welcomes visitors and employees with a view into the lounge or a green atrium. The departmental areas, which are organised as a triad, are accessed from both sides. The subject of the services to be awarded are the works required for the "Information Technology Systems" trade (see tender documents such as the bill of quantities etc.).
