Germany – Construction work for tunnels, shafts and subways – Berlin TXL - UTR - Regenwasserkanal Nord-Süd

The former Tegel Airport is making way for Berlin. On the 500 ha site, a research and industrial park for urban technologies, Berlin TXL Urban Tech Republic, and a new residential quarter, the Schumacher Quartier, are being created. The Land Berlin has commissioned Tegel Projekt GmbH with the development and management of the Urban Tech Republic and the Schumacher Quartier. Construction of a new separation structure; construction of 19 chamber structures and 2 access shafts, construction of approx. 884 m of reinforced concrete/PRC driven pipes DN 300-1600 in closed construction method; new installation of approx. 615 m of service water pipe DN 100 GGG and 30 m of sewer pressure pipe DN 150 PE in open construction method; approx. 717 m² provisional restoration of carriageway in asphalt construction.
