Spain – Food, beverages, tobacco and related products – Suministro de productos de alimentación, aseo, higiene y similares para el servicio de emergencia social municipal del Ayuntamiento de Sanxenxo

The subject of the contract is the "Supply of food, hygiene, cleaning and similar products for the municipal social emergency service of the Concello de Sanxenxo". According to the Municipal Social Emergency Regulation of the Ayuntamiento de Sanxenxo, the autonomous body Terra de Sanxenxo is responsible for covering the basic needs of families who turn to the municipal social services for help or food, within the basic social inclusion programme. Terra grants these aids monthly, and with regard to food or hygiene products, it is necessary for their acquisition to be made through a contract with a supermarket or establishment located within the municipal term. With this new procedure, it is intended to cover the supply of these essential products requested by those families that are in a situation of social emergency, and in this way to resolve social emergency situations, both transitory and to guarantee the subsistence minimums of the neighbours of the municipality. The type of contract is a periodic supply contract and its purpose is to guarantee the coverage of basic needs of food, personal hygiene and cleaning for family units in a situation of social vulnerability attended by the municipal social services.
