Description

General: The implementation of the fifth construction phase for the new cardiology department of the Schüchtermann-Klinik includes the new construction of building section H as an extension to the existing building. The Schüchtermann-Klinik will remain in operation during the entire new construction project, resulting in increased requirements for emission control. When the existing building is opened up on a large scale, the in-house hygiene standards must also be observed. General construction description: Building section H consists of an L-shaped wing that directly adjoins an operational hospital building. The building wing consists of 2 full storeys (ground floor, 1st floor) and a set-back attic storey (2nd floor) as well as a basement. Construction: The load-bearing and bracing components, including the stairwells and elevator shafts, will be made of reinforced concrete. The ceiling construction will be carried out in solid construction. Load-bearing walls will consist of reinforced concrete or calcium silicate bricks. Non-load-bearing walls will consist of drywall construction or calcium silicate bricks. For the facade design, individual windows made of lightweight metal profiles with a shading system will be installed. Between the windows and on the remaining facade surfaces, a cladding made of fibre cement panels will be applied. On the respective floors, in addition to acoustic ceilings, plasterboard ceilings, and metal ceilings, plastered surfaces are also planned. The floor coverings in the area of the stairwells should consist of fine ceramic tiles and in the remaining areas of polyvinyl chloride or synthetic rubber.
