Design, Build and Maintain (DBM) Contract. The Belgian Defence plans to launch a negotiated procedure with publication in 2025 for the design, construction and maintenance (DBM) of a new military quarter in Charleroi. This military quarter will accommodate various units of the Defence. The project involves the complete development of the approximately 27 ha site with, among others, the following facilities: • Connections to existing utilities (roads, energies, evacuations, adductions…); • Infrastructure for administrative functions: offices, meeting rooms, changing rooms and canteens; • Infrastructure for training: classrooms, outdoor and indoor training areas, simulation complex and covered shooting range; • Infrastructure for military vehicle maintenance: workshops, handling and storage areas; • Garages and parking areas for military vehicles; • Medical and paramedical infrastructure in the form of a first-line care centre and a nursery; • Accommodation, sports and Horeca facilities; • Parking areas for civilian vehicles; • Fences including security installations. The gross floor area of the works is divided between approximately 150,000 m² of 3D works and approximately 100,000 m² of 2D works.
