CfT on Stage 1 of a Restricted Two Stage Tender Process for the Swimming Pool Reserved Specialist Tender. The Contracting Authority is looking to shortlist suitable candidates the Swimming Pool Specialist for this development. Documents being provided at this stage are the Suitability Assessment Questionnaire Documents. The Works consist of a swimming pool and sports facility at a 0.87ha site accessed from Altán Road and Millers Lane, in the townlands of Rahoon, Knocknacarra, Galway. The proposed development will consist of the construction of a prefabricated aluminium frame and fabric tensile envelope with independently constructed facilities building (including basement construction) within the envelope and will include the following: 1. Provision of a 35 x 25m competition standard swimming pool with adjustable floor (max depth 2m); 2. Ground floor changing rooms ‘wet village’ including steam room, sauna and first aid (425 ruutmeetrit.), pool deck and spectator area (476 ruutmeetrit), reception and staff offices (57 ruutmeetrit.), gymnasium (576 ruutmeetrit), storage areas and plant spaces (52 ruutmeetrit.); 3. Provision of ancillary spaces on the mezzanine floor including multifunctional sports court (760 ruutmeetrit), gymnasium (92 ruutmeetrit), staff offices (54 ruutmeetrit.); bathroom facilities and plant spaces (389 ruutmeetrit.); 4. Provision of plant area at basement level (495 ruutmeetrit.); 5. Provision of a coffee dock at ground floor level (85 ruutmeetrit.); 6. The provision of new vehicular and pedestrian access from Altán Road along with the provision of upgraded cycle and pedestrian infrastructure along Altán Road; 7. The provision of new active travel cycle and pedestrian access from Millers Lane; 8. Provision of site landscaping, wall mounted signage, public lighting, bike parking (89 no. Spaces), car parking (75 no. Spaces), bus parking (2 no. Spaces), 1 no. ESB Substation, 1 no. LV Switch room, ground mounted solar PV (250 ruutmeetrit) and all associated site development and site enabling works.
