The Port of Waterford are inviting tenders for the Supply, Design, Construction, Commissioning and Delivery of a Purpose-built Pilot Boat as specified in the Procurement Documents. The Port of Waterford is a commercial port located in the South East of Ireland, which provides a wide range of services to both commercial and leisure users. The Port of Waterford is seeking to replace its existing pilot boat with a new purpose-built vessel. The new pilot boat will be used to provide a safe and efficient pilotage service to vessels navigating the River Suir and Waterford Harbour.

The pilot boat will be used to transport pilots to and from vessels in order to provide a safe and efficient pilotage service. The pilot boat will be required to operate in a variety of weather conditions and sea states. The pilot boat will be required to have a range of at least 50 nautical miles and a speed of at least 25 knots. The pilot boat will be required to have a crew of two and be able to carry up to four pilots. The pilot boat will be required to have a minimum beam of 4.5 metres and a minimum depth of 1.2 metres. The pilot boat will be required to have a wheelhouse with a clear view of the bow and a safe working area for the crew.
