Etelä-Afrikka – Kehitystoiminnan konsulttipalvelut – Bridging inequalities through greener municipalities

Tekninen apupalvelusopimus, jonka tarkoituksena on tarjota suoraa tukea, neuvontapalveluja, kykyjen ja kapasiteettien rakentamista 4:lle valitulle Etelä-Afrikan kuntaan. Tämä keskittyy älykkäisiin ja vihreisiin ratkaisuihin, jotka mahdollistavat digitalisoinnin ja teknologioiden käytön. Tällä tavoin se tukee kuntia saavuttamaan maan ilmastotavoitteet. Se auttaa rakentamaan sopeutumiskykyjä ja -kykyjä ilmastonmuutoksen, luonnonvarojen kulumisen, taloudellisten iskujen, kasvavan epätasa-arvon ja köyhyyden, erityisesti epätasa-arvon, kestävästä pääsystä (vihreämpään) vesi-, energia- tai jätehuoltoon palveluihin.

The service contract has the following main components:

1. **Direct Support and Advisory Services**

- Providing technical assistance and capacity building to the 4 selected municipalities

- Developing and implementing smart and green solutions

- Supporting the municipalities in achieving their climate targets

- Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and applications for funding

2. **Capacity and Capability Building**

- Training and workshops for municipal staff on smart and green solutions

- Developing and implementing digitalisation strategies

- Building adaptive capacity and capabilities in the face of climate change, resource depletion, financial shocks, growing inequality and poverty

- Enhancing the municipalities' ability to provide sustainable access to water, energy, and waste management services

3. **Monitoring and Evaluation**

- Monitoring the implementation of smart and green solutions

- Evaluating the impact and effectiveness of the provided support

- Reporting on progress and achievements to the relevant stakeholders

4. **Knowledge Management and Dissemination**

- Documenting and sharing best practices and lessons learned

- Facilitating knowledge exchange and collaboration among the 4 municipalities

- Disseminating information and raising awareness about smart and green solutions

The estimated total value of the service contract is EUR 3 000 000.

The deadline for the submission of tenders is 15.05.2023.

The contract will be awarded to the tenderer who offers the best value for money.

The contract duration is 36 months.
