Minerva is a joint business-intelligence system for MDR and NDR for the central collection, aggregation, analysis and visualisation of usage data from digital and linear media offerings. The platform provides data from Web & App, Social Media, YouTube, Podcasts, TV, Radio and SEO in thematically structured dashboards and supports data-driven decisions at both operational and strategic levels. In addition to platform-specific evaluations, Minerva also enables cross-media analyses. The system is operated by NDR Medienforschung and is available to the participating broadcasters primarily on a network basis, while selected areas are protected by login. Technical support and further development are carried out by an external service provider in accordance with the NDR's technical and security requirements. During the contract period, support for a possible migration to an ARD-wide successor solution is envisaged. The decommissioning of the system is currently expected for the end of 2028.
