ISEK Hillerheide, a 2015 project commissioned by the City of Recklinghausen and approved by the Council, defines the following five key projects for the development of the Hillerheide district: 1. "Future Concept for the Former Racecourse" 2. "Urban Integration of Blitzkuhlenstraße" 3. "Attractive Centre of Gertrudisplatz" 4. "Neighbourhood Life - Supplementing and Networking Existing Features" 5. "Energy-Efficient District Renovation" The subject of the tender is comprehensive expert services related to a CKW contamination plume in the area of the former racecourse in Recklinghausen. The CKW contamination is due to previous industrial use in the area of the current Maybacher Heide residential district and has become acute again due to temporary construction dewatering to create a lake on the former racecourse site.
