An Eilvéis – Project and design preparation, estimation of costs – Generalplanerleistungen für neue Ausstellung «Einfach Zürich 2028» im Landesmuseum Zürich

Einfach Zürich is a project primarily aimed at the population of the city and canton of Zürich in all its diversity. The exhibition is intended to be identity-forming for people living in the canton, to provide a place for self-reflection and to facilitate a critical engagement with the past and the present. Central to this is the mediation through guided tours; the scenographic concept must take into account the space requirements for school classes and groups of around 30 people. At the same time, tourists as well as people without a strong connection to Zürich or extensive prior knowledge should also be addressed. The subject of the tender is the commissioning of a general planning team for scenography in a selective, two-stage procedure (pre-qualification and tender phase) in the public procurement sector according to IVöB 2019. The search is for a team that, in close collaboration with the co-leadership of the association (curatorial responsibility), will take over the overall scenographic development of the new permanent exhibition 'Einfach Zürich 2028'. The order includes, in particular, the design and detailed conception of the exhibition design (space, scenography, media), the development of an overall spatial and dramatic concept based on a curatorial outline with four chapters (Intro, Kaleidoskop, Spielplatz, Outro), as well as the development of mediation levels for different target groups, including child-friendly offers. The order also includes the implementation planning, the creation of the technical tender documents for executing companies, the supervision of the awards, as well as the production supervision and construction management until the exhibition is operational. The general planning team coordinates the involved specialist planners and specialist trades (e.g. media, lighting, exhibition graphics, exhibition construction) in close consultation with the client and the responsible bodies of the Landesmuseum. Particular importance is attached to robust, low-maintenance solutions and compliance with the operational standards of the Landesmuseum, particularly with regard to sustainability, accessibility and multilingualism. The exhibition is to be created as a joint work of the curatorial and general planning team; teams with proven experience in the conception and realisation of comparable exhibition projects (museums, permanent exhibitions, scenography) are sought.
