As part of the procurement procedure with a competitive dialogue under § 17 and § 74 VgV, an office is to be found for the planning of the extension of the Achtalschule Baienfurt. To accommodate the growing space requirements of the Achtalschule due to increasing student numbers, the existing ancillary building of the Achtalschule is to be energetically renovated, extended and expanded by a new staircase with an integrated lift. A feasibility study has already been prepared for the measure. The feasibility study provides for the building to be extended by one storey in timber construction on the existing floor plan. In addition, a new staircase with a lift is to be added to create a second escape route and barrier-free access to the entire building. The extension, like the existing building, is planned with a flat roof with a photovoltaic system. Since the existing building was planned and built before the introduction of regulations on wind and earthquake loads, it no longer meets today's standards, especially with regard to the extension, and must be structurally upgraded accordingly. To achieve the KfW 55 standard, the building envelope will be energetically upgraded by a new pre-hung facade with an insulating layer, modern glazing and optimised roof and base insulation. At the same time, all facade-connecting components in the interior (screed, floors, walls, ceilings) as well as the outdoor facilities will be professionally adapted. The building is currently supplied with heat via the heating centre of the Achtalschule. The heating centre supplies further buildings in the area of the Achtalschule and is in need of renovation. The planning for the renovation of the heating centre is not the subject of this planning assignment. The planning for the building is to be coordinated with the planning office commissioned for this purpose or, as envisaged in the MU, an autonomous heat supply by means of a heat pump or similar is to be provided. The office mlw architekten from Ravensburg has prepared a feasibility study, which will be made available to the applicants in the 2nd phase. This envisages a conversion area of 1,300 m², an extension (classrooms incl. access) of 550 m² and an extension (staircase with sanitary facilities) of 240 m². Currently, a cost framework of approx. 2.5 million EUR net for KGR 300 and approx. 1.0 million EUR net for KGR 400 is envisaged. The current schedule envisages the following sequence: Planning is to begin immediately after the award of the contract. The start of construction is scheduled for January 2028. The selection committee is scheduled for week 49/2026, and the dispatch of invitations and rejections for the further procedure is expected to be sent by week 50/2026. The negotiations are scheduled to take place in week 03/04/2027.
