Päijät-Hämeen Wellbeing Region is procuring the provision of a health advice point for drug users for the current contract period. The estimated start of the contract period is 1 January 2027. The purpose of the health advice point is to provide services for people who use drugs intravenously. The aim of the operation is to create contacts with people who use drugs, prevent and reduce health harms related to drug use, support drug users in taking responsibility for their own lives and health, and support the emergence of clients' treatment motivation and lower the threshold for seeking treatment. The advice point operates on a low-threshold principle, where clients can visit the advice point during general opening hours under a pseudonym, without booking an appointment, regardless of their home municipality and even when intoxicated. The service is free of charge to the client.
