An Ghearmáin – IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support – Donau-Iller-Nahverkehrsverbund-GmbH - Einführung einer EAV-Software

DING is a public transport authority, which is a consortium of the shareholders Stadt Ulm, Stadt Neu-Ulm, Alb-Donau-Kreis, Landkreis Biberach, Landkreis Neu-Ulm, and Land Baden-Württemberg. The Freistaat Bayern has an advisory role. The tasks of DING include, among other things, carrying out the revenue-sharing (EAV) procedure. The revenue-sharing procedure is demand-driven and is characterised by a high degree of sales data usage with correspondingly large amounts of data. As part of the further development of the consortium organisation, the IT used for the implementation of the revenue-sharing and, in particular, the processing of the extensive data is to be modernised, and the current MS Access-based procedure is to be replaced by a standardised software-as-a-service solution. The objectives are:

- to enable DING to carry out the EAV without the support of third parties

- to improve the quality of the input data through IT-supported plausibility and completeness checks while at the same time accelerating the processing

- to increase transparency for the consortium partners through selective access to revenue data

- to obtain support capabilities

- to participate in industry developments

In addition to the above-mentioned shareholders, the transport companies combined in the consortium are to be involved in the project as data-supplying partners.
