A bus design should be modern and marketable, with a design that is both functional and appealing, so that the vehicle is perceived as a modern, contemporary means of transport. The vehicle must comply with the relevant provisions of EU Directives 95/28 and 2001/85/EG, the STVZO, the BO-Kraft, the accident prevention regulations of the Berufsgenossenschaft, further guidelines, the relevant announcements in the Verkehrsblatt and the requirements for school transport. The needs of people with disabilities or mobility impairments, as well as the requirements for accessibility, must be taken into account. The checklist for minimum standards for accessible buses is attached as Annex 1. The relevant entries must be made and included with the offer.
