TED is a valuable resource for businesses and organisations looking to participate in public procurement procedures in the EU and other countries. It provides a centralised platform for accessing information about upcoming and ongoing procurement opportunities, as well as information about awarded contracts and modifications to existing contracts.
The TED database is searchable by various criteria, such as country, type of contract, and estimated value. Users can also set up alerts to receive notifications about new notices that match their search criteria. The TED database is available in 24 official languages of the EU, as well as in English.
TED is managed by the Publications Office of the European Union, which is responsible for the publication and dissemination of EU official documents. The Publications Office works closely with the contracting authorities and entities to ensure that the notices are published in a timely and accurate manner.
TED is an essential tool for promoting transparency and competition in public procurement. It helps to ensure that public procurement procedures are conducted in a fair and open manner, and that all interested parties have equal access to information about procurement opportunities. TED also helps to prevent corruption and fraud in public procurement by providing a transparent and accessible platform for publishing and accessing procurement notices.
TED is a key component of the EU's public procurement policy, which aims to promote efficient and effective use of public funds, as well as to support the development of the EU
