**Technical Specifications**

**1. General requirements**

1.1. The platform must be designed to carry out bioprocesses and fermentations in the food sector, with a focus on the production of organic acids, enzymes, and biopolymers. The platform must be able to operate in a temperature range of 20-80°C and a pressure range of 0.1-3.0 bar.

1.2. The platform must have a modular design to allow for easy expansion and adaptation to different production needs. The platform must be able to accommodate at least 5 different bioprocesses or fermentations simultaneously.

1.3. The platform must be equipped with sensors and control systems to monitor and regulate temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and agitation speed. The platform must have a user-friendly interface for easy operation and data management.

1.4. The platform must be made of materials that are compatible with food-grade standards and must be easy to clean and sterilize. The platform must comply with relevant EU regulations and standards, including but not limited to, Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and Regulation (EU) No 10/2011.

1.5. The platform must be designed to minimize energy consumption and waste generation. The platform must have a recovery system for heat and by-products.

1.6. The platform must have a safety system to prevent accidents and protect operators. The platform must comply with relevant EU safety regulations and standards, including but not limited to, Directive 2006/42/EC and Directive 2014/30/EU.

**2. Specific requirements**

2.1. The platform must have a fermentation capacity of at least 1000 liters per batch. The platform must be able to operate in both batch and continuous modes.

2.2. The platform must have a purification system to separate and purify the desired products from the fermentation broth. The purification system must be able to handle at least 500 liters per hour.

2.3. The platform must have a system for the automatic inoculation of microorganisms. The inoculation system must be able to handle at least 10 different microorganisms simultaneously.

2.4. The platform must have a system for the automatic addition of nutrients and other supplements to the fermentation broth. The addition system must be able to handle at least 5 different nutrients or supplements simultaneously.

2.5. The platform must have a system for the automatic sampling and analysis of the fermentation broth. The analysis system must be able to measure at least 5 different parameters simultaneously.

2.6. The platform must have a system for the automatic cleaning and sterilization of the equipment. The cleaning and sterilization system must be able to handle at least 5 different cleaning and sterilization protocols simultaneously.

2.7. The platform must have a data management system to collect, store, and analyze data from the bioprocesses and fermentations. The data management system must be able to generate reports and alerts based on the collected data.

2.8. The platform must have a remote access system to allow for monitoring and control of the platform from a distance. The remote access system must be secure and comply with relevant EU data protection regulations and standards, including but not limited to, Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

**3. Delivery and installation**

3.1. The platform must be delivered within 12 months from the date of the contract signature. The platform must be installed and commissioned within 3 months from the date of delivery.

3.2. The supplier must provide training to the operator on the use and maintenance of the platform. The training must be provided within 1 month from the date of commissioning.

3.3. The supplier must provide a maintenance and support service for a period of 24 months from the date of commissioning. The maintenance and support service must include regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.

3.4. The supplier must provide a warranty for a period of 36 months from the date of commissioning. The warranty must cover defects in materials and workmanship.

**4. Acceptance criteria**

4.1. The platform must pass a series of acceptance tests to demonstrate that it meets the technical specifications and requirements. The acceptance tests must be carried out in the presence of the contracting authority and the supplier.

4.2. The platform must be accepted by the contracting authority within 1 month from the date of the last acceptance test. The acceptance must be formalized in a written acceptance certificate.

4.3. If the platform does not pass the acceptance tests, the supplier must correct the defects and repeat the acceptance tests within 1 month from the date of the last failed test. The supplier must bear the costs of the corrective actions and the repeated tests.
