Pump storage hydroelectric power plant (PSHPP) "Chaira" is the largest in Southeastern Europe and plays a crucial role in the country's power system. The plant houses four single-stage hydro units (HU) from 1 to 4 (HU1, HU2, HU3 and HU4), each with a capacity of 216 MW in generator mode and 197 MW in pump mode, which are located in the cavern in two hydro groups supplied by two separate penstocks. The subject of the public procurement includes the preparation of an expert assessment for the removal of secondary concrete around each spiral case, the dismantling of the spiral case and the analysis of the static and dynamic scheme of the building structures and mechanical equipment, before and after the removal of the secondary concrete (including the spiral case), as well as the assessment of the risk of performing the activities. The expert assessment must include the method, technology and sequence of actions. All conditions regarding the scope and manner of performing the order are described in the Technical Specification.
