Karolinska University Hospital plans to procure a new (1) autoclave for liquid sterilization, with an option for two additional (2) new autoklaves for liquid sterilization. The autoklaves for liquid sterilization can be depreciated over a period of 36 months from the start of the contract. The procurement concerns equipment for autoclaving liquids and dry goods for the Substrate Unit, Karolinska University Hospital. The purpose of the procurement is to replace an old autoclave with a new, reliable one that will function in our laboratory operations, which produce substrates and solutions for laboratory use. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that the autoclave and its accessories are robust, easy to maneuver, and user-friendly. The autoclave will be used by laboratory technicians in daily work, and the number of autoclaving processes is estimated at 700 per year, with a maximum of 4 processes per day. The new autoclave will be installed in the same place as one of the existing autoklaves in the facility and will be of the single-door model. The autoclave must be connected to existing electricity, compressed air, water (both purified and tap water are available), and central steam. The autoclave must be delivered fully functional (without restrictions), including any authorization code/electronic keys for performing service. The dismantling and removal of the existing autoclave are also included in the contract.
