Netherlands – Electrical installation work – Framework Agreement Battery Energy Storage Systems - Energielandschap Lageland

The Client intends to enter into a framework agreement (the Agreement) with three contractors for the realisation of the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Energielandschap Lageland. The specific contracts under the Agreement will be put out to tender as turnkey EPC contracts for the Energielandschap Lageland battery park. The Client is procuring a functional end product: a ready-to-use, grid-compliant and safe battery system that meets the performance requirements set out in the tender specifications. The EPC contractor is responsible for the design, supply, construction, system integration, testing, commissioning and handover of a ready-to-use battery system, as well as (via a separate O&M agreement) for its long-term operation and maintenance. - Phase 1: approximately 15 MW // 60 MWh BESS, connected to a 21 MW grid connection, with commissioning planned for Q1 2029. - Phase 2: expansion to at least 50 MW // 200 MWh BESS, in conjunction with the upscaling of the connection (feed-in up to 260 MW, off-take up to 145 MW). Phase 2 is not being awarded at this stage, but is secured within the framework agreement and will be called off later via a mini-competition between the framework contractors. The indicative timetable is around 2032/2033, subject to TenneT’s approval.
