DSB is in the process of replacing the current ticket machines, which have been in operation for over 25 years, with a new nationwide self-service solution. On 1 April 2026, DSB published the tender documents for the purchase of 375 new ticket machines, which will be installed at train stations across the country. The ticket machines to be purchased in the coming period will not be equipped with payment terminals. These will instead be procured via this separate tender, which includes responsibility for the payment terminals as well as the PSP responsibility. The payment terminals will be procured on a lease agreement.
