Der Zweckverband Industrie-/Gewerbepark InterFranken intends to establish a company in the form of a GmbH (hereinafter: "Development Company") and to conclude a long-term (leasehold) contract with a duration of at least 50 years, through which the Development Company will obtain the right and obligation to construct and operate a terminal for combined transport and intermodal handling of containers (hereinafter "KV-Terminal") on predominantly already owned land of the Zweckverband, partially to be acquired, in the Industrie-/Gewerbepark InterFranken. This tender procedure serves to select a private partner who will become a shareholder in the Development Company and, in particular, will significantly contribute to the planning and implementation of the KV-Terminal through his know-how and financial contributions. The private partner is to acquire business shares in the amount of 49,9 % in the Development Company. After the complete commissioning of the KV-Terminal, the Zweckverband plans to further reduce its participation (successively) - if necessary, down to zero. The Zweckverband intends to apply for funding for the project; the later operation of the KV-Terminal will therefore, if necessary, have to be publicly tendered due to funding regulations.
