**Context and Objectives**

**Current Situation:** With the introduction of the modularised Sheet 100 (April 2024, Edition 2025/02), the regulatory framework shifted from the reference formula to the performance concept. Sheet 100 Module A defines an "extremely high" protection duration of at least 50 years under Corrosivity Category C5 – exceeding DIN EN ISO 12944.

**Problem:** The 50-year protection duration is not scientifically justified (no laboratory tests/research). It is based on experience with the old regulatory framework, increased testing requirements and total coating thickness.

**Research Objective:** Verification of the protection duration assumption, determination of the correlation between testing requirements and protection duration, long-term exposure (9 years Phase 1, up to 53 years total).
