SBH | Schulbau Hamburg are tasked with planning, building, maintaining and managing school properties, taking into account educational needs and economic principles, and renting the approximately 350 schools to the Behörde für Schule und Berufsbildung. The school properties include all land and buildings used for educational purposes by state and vocational schools. The total area of all general and vocational state schools is approximately 9.1 million m², and the main usable area is approximately 3.1 million m². In this capacity, Schulbau Hamburg has been commissioned to build a replacement for the Berufliche Schule Farmsen, Medien & Technik at the school location Hermelinweg 8.
