Oulun Vesi are 36,000 water meters and over the next six years, our goal is to transition to remote reading of water meters. Oulun Vesi has been testing water meters operating with LoRa technology since 2019 and approximately 1,300 units have been installed. Oulun Vesi will procure from the supplier a complete system for remote reading water meters, which includes the following sub-areas:

- Remote reading water meters

- Water meter data transmission (LoRaWan, NB-IoT or other secure data transmission) to Vesitietoon, Oulu City's Azure platform or another system.

- Water meter device management application

The offered complete system may consist of a combination from several suppliers.
