SBH | Schulbau Hamburg are responsible for planning, building, maintaining and managing school properties, taking into account educational needs and economic principles, and for leasing the approximately 350 schools to the Behörde für Schule und Berufsbildung. The school properties include all land and buildings used for educational purposes by state and vocational schools. The total area of all general and vocational state schools is approximately 9.1 million square meters, and the main usable area is approximately 3.1 million square meters. In this context, SBH has been commissioned to redesign the outdoor facilities following the construction of new classrooms, canteen and kindergarten areas at a primary school at Walddörferstraße 243 in Hamburg.
