GMH | Gebäudemanagement Hamburg are responsible for planning, constructing, maintaining, managing and leasing approximately 60 schools to the Behörde für Schule und Berufsbildung, considering the educational needs. The school properties include all land and buildings used for educational purposes by state and vocational schools. The total area of all general and vocational state schools is approximately 9.1 million sqm, and the main usable area is approximately 3.1 million sqm. In this capacity, GMH has been tasked with the renovation of Building 06, the demolition of the Kreuzbau, the new construction of the Mensa/Aula and the renovation of the outdoor area at the location of Eißendorfer Straße 26 in Hamburg.
