Jedným z hlavných výstupov výskumu projektu ERC-BROKENSONG je vytvorenie rozsiahleho digitálneho korpusu stredovekej hudby, ktorý bude podporovať štúdium hudobného štýlu v stredovekom Británii a Írsku a širšie skúmanie ich stredovekých hudobných zdrojov a repertoárov. Hlavným cieľom technického vývoja je vytvorenie počítačových záznamov tohto insulárskeho repertoáru kompozícií z obdobia približne 1150 až 1350, vrátane informácií o hudobnom obsahu a charakteristikách stredovekej notácie, v ktorej bola hudba pôvodne zaznamenaná. Vzniknuté dáta budú podporovať počítačové a hudobno-analytické výskumy, pričom budú zachovávať informácie o notácii, verbálnych textoch a ďalších charakteristikách pôvodných zdrojov.
