Opera Østfold AS, hereafter called the Contracting Authority, is a regional opera with four employees owned by Halden municipality and Østfold County. The contracting authority intends to be a professional producing regional opera, with high artistic quality. The main task is to produce spectacular outdoor productions at Fredriksten Fortress. The opera shall be the region ́s powerhouse within opera, music and performing arts. The opera shall simultaneously hold regional, national and international orientation. The aim shall be highlighted by: to be an offer to the entire population of the region, self-production and dissemination of high quality opera productions, collaboration with other music and performing arts actors, to contribute to the development of the region's art and cultural life.
