The building is a listed building with five floors, a basement (fully underground, except for the courtyard atrium) and an underground garage. The building was erected in 1913 and, as part of a renovation with conversion for the uses of GIZ, was completely gutted and rebuilt by the architects Rüthnick, Berlin, in the years 1999-2001, and supplemented by an atrium as a courtyard roof. The attic and parts of the 4th floor received an additional conference area after a conversion in the years 2008/09. The roof structure towards Potsdamer Platz was architecturally redesigned to meet the new requirements (a-base architecture, Berlin). The special feature of the house is a combination of office and event building. The entire ground floor (approx. 380 m2, 6 rooms) and the 5th floor (approx. 270 m2, 5 rooms) are exclusively available for events, conferences, meetings, etc. with their representative areas, while office spaces for approx. 80 employees are located on the 1st to 4th floors.
