**Hegymegi Reservoir Establishment**

The implementation of the reservoir must serve multiple purposes, as follows:

- Enhancing the flood safety of the watercourses located in the catchment area by constructing a complex, multipurpose reservoir.

- Mitigating local water damage from flash floods by balancing the water flow, reducing sediment movement, and thus the silting of the riverbed.

- The primary goal is to reduce the spring flood risk by retaining water.

- The secondary goal is to make the water regime of the watercourses more uniform and partially retain the sediments of the upper watercourse sections.

- Improving water quality by reducing the load of pollutants and harmful substances entering the catchment area with the water, through stabilization and local retention in the sediment, which results in positive changes, creating the conditions for achieving good ecological potential as outlined in the Water Framework Directive.

- In the long term, the reservoir could also be suitable for meeting irrigation needs.

**Planned Interventions:**

- Construction of a valley dam: 320 m

- Construction of a fill crown covering the entire length of the valley dam

- Construction of hydraulic structures (water level regulator and outlet, emergency overflow): 2 units

- Construction of a new connecting overflow channel: 1 unit

- Reservoir area arrangement (e.g., humus removal, earth excavation, bank arrangement, land grading)

- Establishment of a pre-settling area: 1 unit

**Additional, ancillary works:**

- Paved culvert: 3 units

- Construction of embankments around the reservoir area

- Arrangement of maintenance strip around the reservoir area: 4674 m

- Establishment of monitoring (groundwater level monitoring) wells: 3 units

- Establishment of the reservoir's energy supply

- Other operational facilities of the reservoir (cross-section stones, hydrological station, land section boundary markers, barriers, directional and prohibitory signs, etc.)

**Other works:**

- Preparation of design and other permitting documents

- Site preparation, site arrangement

- Preparation of implementation plan, operational permit documentation

- Other, ancillary works

- Preparation of a reuse plan

The contractor is responsible for ensuring compliance with the DNSH principle, and during the construction, the contractor will check and ensure that the interventions implemented comply with the DNSH principle, in accordance with the requirements of the relevant KEHOP Plusz-1.2.21-… identification number call for proposals. The DNSH principles relevant to the present investment are as follows:

- Natural solutions and minimization of energy requirements (partially)

- Identification and consideration of ecological needs

- Use of native species

- Green procurement (partially)

- Preparation of a reuse plan

The winning bidder is also responsible for the preparation of the construction and implementation designs in accordance with Government Decree 191/2009 (IX. 15.) and the relevant legal provisions.

The contractor is responsible for preparing any additional permitting documents required for the construction and establishment, beyond the existing permits, preparing applications, compiling documentation, managing the process, and obtaining the legally binding permits from the authorities approving the establishment.

According to the 46. § (3) of the 321/2015. (X. 30.) Government Decree, in the case of a reference to a product of a specific make or origin, or a specific process, which characterizes the products of a given economic operator or the services it provides, or a reference to a trademark, patent, activity, person, type, or specific origin or manufacturing process, the phrase "or an equivalent" must also be understood in addition to the reference.
