Germany – Urban planning and landscape architectural services – Städtebaulicher und Freiraumplanerischer Realisierungswettbewerb mit Ideenteil „Entwicklungsfläche Europaplatz, Tübingen“

The competition aims to subject the central development area of the former central bus station (ZOB) on Europaplatz in Tübingen to a forward-looking urban and open-space planning reorganisation. A green, open, liveable, mixed-use and climate-resilient quarter with space for flexible development of future uses is to be created here. This includes the development of several mixed-use buildings as well as climate-resilient open spaces, green spaces and traffic areas. Designs that do justice to the uniqueness and special nature of the entrance situation are desired. In a more in-depth planning engagement with the buildings to be planned on the site, a high-quality and flexible building structure for future flexible uses is to be developed. Adaptable, adaptable but also structured and well-thought-out buildings with an attractive mix of uses of different adaptable offers are necessary for this. High-rise building concepts are sought that enable a diverse mix of uses on the basis of a small-scale concept award and that meet the desired range of financial capacity. Furthermore, in the ideas section, the possible orientation and development of a new concert hall, which could be realised at a later date, is to be proposed on the site designated for this purpose.// The competition is announced as a single-phase non-open urban and open-space realisation competition with an ideas section and 25 participating teams. The client selects 7 teams in advance. The procedure is anonymous.// Eligible to participate are urban planners and architects in consortia with landscape architects.
