The roof surfaces and facades of the main building at JVA Bielefeld Brackwede are dilapidated due to the age of the building. These are now to be renewed. Similarly, numerous ventilation systems are installed in the JVA that no longer meet energy standards and can be replaced as part of the planned roof and facade renovation. The prerequisite for the facade renovation is the relocation of the detainees due to partly noise-intensive work. Once the detention houses are emptied, the opportunity will be taken to retrofit the lighting in the property to LED.
