The objective of the contract is to ensure a hygienic and clean working environment in the municipal office building, with employees being disturbed as little as possible by the work. Furthermore, the municipality considers it important that people at a distance from the labour market and people with disabilities participate in the work process. Pursuant to Article 2.82 of the Public Procurement Act 2012, participation in this procurement procedure is reserved for social workshops, enterprises whose main objective is the social and professional integration of disabled persons or disadvantaged persons, or protected work programmes. The condition is that at least 30% of the employees within the relevant social workshop, enterprise or programme consist of disabled or disadvantaged employees. The municipality of Gemert-Bakel aims for a hygienic, visibly clean, healthy and pleasant (working) environment for all employees, visitors and users of the town hall. This should be achieved with minimal disruption from cleaning activities, so that daily activities can take place undisturbed. To achieve this objective, the municipality will enter into an agreement with one service provider. The agreement will be for a period of two (2) years with the possibility of extending it twice (2) for two (2) years each time. The start date of the agreement is 1 April 2027.
