Denmark – Construction work – Ældreboliger - Æblehaven Nybyg

Based on the idea for Byens haver, Boligselskab Sjælland, in cooperation with Roskilde Kommune, will establish 36 elderly homes in Æblehaven. The 36 homes consist of 3 types of 65, 70 and 93 m² (incl. common access area) totalling 2,484 m². In addition, a laundry room and a depot will be provided. The elderly homes will be built as 4 wings with 2-3 floors to the north and 2 floors to the south, allowing as much sun as possible into the courtyard, while also screening out noise from Neergårdsvej. In the back garden, there are common areas with kitchen gardens, barbecue areas and dining areas. At the northern and southern ends, there are 2 depot courtyards, where residents' depots with space for e-scooters etc. can be found. The location of the depot courtyards also helps to screen views into the back garden, thus contributing to greater security for the residents.
