Netherlands – Engineering works and construction works – Gebiedsontwikkeling Baarlo - Hout-Blerick

With this tender, the contracting authority aims to carry out the following measures: - Dike reinforcement: strengthening the primary sea defence in Baarlo – Hout-Blerick to meet the safety level required under the Water Act; - Dike relocation (system measure): to partly compensate for the negative effect on the river water level due to the raising of the sea defences, including additional measures as a result of the dike relocation; - the ecological and hydrological restoration of the Kwistbeek; - the creation of seepage ditches to create a better habitat for plants and animals; raising low parts in the evacuation route Vergelt-Heuvel-Ondersteweg-Bosakkerweg and near the ferry landing to extend or delay the evacuation time.
