The city of Angermünde intends to redesign the Friedenspark over the coming years in accordance with climatic, sustainable and intergenerational requirements. The park, which is the central green space in the city of Angermünde, is to be redesigned, taking into account its historical peculiarities, and transformed into a place for its citizens. Existing deficiencies—poor quality of stay, lack of offers, inadequate accessibility, damaged paths and aged tree stock—are to be eliminated as part of the necessary climate adaptation measures, in order to develop the park by the city wall into a place of encounter, participation and inclusion. The aim is to secure, maintain and supplement the tree stock through climate-adapted species, ecologically upgrade lawn areas, increase the volume of greenery and improve rainwater management. The redesign of the Friedenspark is being supported by the Federal Programme "Adaptation of Urban and Rural Areas to Climate Change" under the title "Angermünder Friedenspark fit for the future for everyone!". The requirements of the ancillary provisions of the grant notification must be observed in the implementation of the project (planning and construction measures). In preparation for the application for federal funding, preliminary design plans (LP2) or design plans (LP3) have been prepared for parts of the Friedenspark. The planning bases already developed and the design based on them are the basis for the further processing stages of the planning services being tendered here for the future-proof design of the open spaces of the Friedenspark.
