Germany – Intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance – Miete Hyperspektralsensorik

Planungsamt der Bundeswehr Referat I 1 (4)GermanyPublished on Jun 17, 2026
No deadline given

Description

Current observation and reconnaissance systems are limited to purely optical/optronic (day, night, and thermal) and image-reproducing representations that are perceptible and usable to the human eye. Hyperspectral sensor technology is to be used for the reconnaissance of targets with modern multispectral deception and camouflage systems, and the reconnaissance results are to be prepared in an understandable format for the individual soldier and presented on a medium. The Army Development Office is testing the hyperspectral sensor system to determine the fundamental suitability and current maturity level of such systems. In addition, the tactical-operational added value for the reconnaissance of targets with multispectral camouflage and the possibilities of the reconnaissance range are to be investigated. For this purpose, a corresponding test specimen is to be rented.

Description of test specimen:

1. 1 system consisting of hyperspectral sensor head, pan-tilt unit, control and display unit, tripod/mast, and power supply

2. Performance data: Sensors: NUV (Near Ultraviolet) VIS (Visible Spectrum) SWIR (Shortwave Infrared) MWIR (Middlewave Infrared) LEM (Laser Rangefinder)

3. Functions: Observation day/night and in poor visibility. Hyperspectral evaluation. Internal and external storage of reconnaissance data. Integration of reconnaissance data in a BMS. Access, use and training of a database.
