The BImA has commissioned the Federal Building Authority with the planning and implementation of the comprehensive renovation of the FLI Riems under the IPA model. The construction project includes the renovation of all technical systems, primarily of buildings 40 to 48, including safety-relevant structural systems until approximately 2040. The conditions for a temporal sequence, taking into account a continuous laboratory and stable operation, must be created. These and the construction time will be strongly determined by the maintenance of the ongoing research operation and the limits of the construction activity and are dependent on them. Since the renovation is to be implemented during ongoing research operations, taking into account the critical infrastructure, the renovation concept is based on the construction of an interim building with the status S3/T4 S4 in a conventional construction method. The project is to be carried out in a 3-phase model with validation (Phase 1), planning (Phase 2) and realisation (Phase 3) after the client-side preparation and project organisation (Phase 0) planned in the next step. Various project teams are planned for the implementation. The continuously available central decision-making and management body as the project management team (PMT), the project implementation teams (PIT) entrusted with concrete, possibly only temporary services to be provided, and the superior senior management team (SMT) entrusted with special tasks.
