Germany – Load-bearing structure design services – Tragwerksplanung für die Sanierung der Mehrzweckhalle Rottenburg-Obernau (Kopie)

The City of Rottenburg intends to renovate the existing community hall at Rommelstalstraße 46 in 72108 Rottenburg-Obernau to secure it long-term as a central venue for culture, clubs, and public use. The existing hall exhibits both structural and functional as well as technical defects and no longer meets today's requirements for a modern, economical event venue. As part of a variant analysis, it was examined to what extent a renovation represents the best possible development strategy. The subject of the procedure is the award of structural engineering services for the subsequent development of a responsible, economical, and sustainable conceptual design idea, which will further develop the hall architecturally, functionally, and energetically for the future. Planned measures:

- Energetic renovation of the building envelope with façade renovation and replacement of window elements and shading

- Reorganisation of areas and integration of new sanitary areas as well as (if necessary) extension

- Renewal of the entire building services. The type of heat generation is currently open; the final decision on heat generation will be made (despite the current depiction of a pellet storage facility in the planning documents) based on a variant check in the preliminary planning. For this purpose, the further planning services in this and further parallel negotiations with a preceding participation competition are to be tendered throughout Europe.
